AFTERNOON HEADACHES ON TAP

With precip not starting as early as I expected, it's obvious why all area Baltimore and DC Metro schools are heading in on time. I'm sure they're grumbling out in Frederick and Carroll Counties, being under a Winter Storm Warning and yet in school. Once snow and sleet begin this morning, roads will become slick since whatever falls is going to freeze on contact. I envision widespread early dismissals being announced in the mid-morning, making for a very headache filled day. In fact, it seems as though this might even turn out similar to the Dec 5 "Little Storm That Could" which brought many area schools an early dismissal followed by delays the next day.

Fairfax Co's 165,000 students should have an interesting day! Hopefully Dr. Dale will make the right call!

Two hours early-out here in Baltimore County. Not bad...

How about tomorrow morning?

Well I guess you were right the 2nd time. We had the 2 hour delay! Just wish they had decided a little earlier, it was chaos with lunches! Oh well, we're out! I hope everyone gets home safe!
See you tomorrow at ?:??!

I was wondering if I was a major wuss for leaving school (in Reisterstown) at noon to go home to Shrewsbury. Even though I have t drive THROUGH Carroll and the Hereford Zone to get home, it really wasn't that bad until I hit the PA line. Now, however, it's crazy slick out there and 4-wheel drive did nothing for me. Come on 2-hour delay tomorrow!
