9:55 AM 2/23/12 (Meteorologist Justin Berk)
Are you ready for more? After reaching 63ºF in Baltimore yesterday, clouds overnight have kept temps up this morning, now in the low 50s which is already above our normal high temperature of 47ºF.
  • An active weather pattern will bring in the chance of showers, but most of the energy will be split north and south of Maryland.
  • We could get a little wet, I don't expect too much. The surge of warm air aloft will translate to about 20 degrees above normal. The guidance temps have BWI at 65ºF, but any bit of extra sunshine could push some spots in Maryland near 70ºF
  • Right along the bay from Cecil County down to the Eastern Shore, temps may remain in the upper 50s.

This weekend An Arctic blast will follow a cold front arriving Friday evening, but should actually reach western Maryland in the morning. This weekend will be closer to normal with snow showers in the mountains and perhaps flurries into the hills north and west Saturday. That storm next week? On the long range models, it looks like a warm rain - AGAIN!

Curious about our readership? The Advisors would like to thank the over 50,000 Maryland residents who relied on our team updates in the last storm, and faithfully frequent this page everday. The image below is a screen cap of our recent Google Analytics from Thursday to Sunday.

6:30 AM 2/23/12 (Forecaster Connor) It's really going to feel like Spring has sprung today!
  • Under mostly sunny skies and a southwest breeze of 10-15 mph, highs will reach mid 60s. Temperatures in some places will run head toward 70º. A fantastic day for a field trip such as Fort McHenry, the views will be tremendous. Will you be able to get outside a little today?

  • Clouds will increase again late Thursday evening, accompanied by a chance for showers Thursday night into Friday. The mild weather continues Friday with highs peaking in the low to mid 60s.
  • Gusty west winds at 15-25 mph may make it feel cooler as a cold front sweeps east. But for now, enjoy this great preview of Spring!
