Hurricane Irene, 8/27/2011

WHAT WE DO Our multi-state team of meteorologists and students in Atmospheric Science have provided real-time support to county and state emergency managers, facility operators, hospital administrators, public and university school officials. During high-impact winter, severe and tropical events, our collaborative forecasts are used by agencies in multiple states to facilitate pre-storm preparations, advance inter-agency coordination and mitigate post-storm recovery. The day before Hurricane Irene struck, Yahoo! News noted that "Foot's Forecast is an "innovative and hugely informative" site, ranking #4 on their list next to the National Weather Service and Weather Underground.
