10:15 AM 8/18/12 | Saturday Greetings from Caroline County on the Eastern Shore of Maryland! Sunshine has returned to the Caroline Summerfest! Though a brief passing thunderstorm after opening night dampened streets, it certainly did not cool an infectiously magical enthusiasm for all things Oz.
We thank Ms. Susan Simmons, Event Organizer and our colleagues in the Caroline County Emergency Services for their strong partnership. We have enjoyed working the weather together with you. Are you on the Eastern shore? Then come on down to experience an awesome August day in historic Denton, the yellow brick road is waiting for you.

TODAY: Skies will continue to clear over the next few hours from west to east as a cold front pushes off the Mid-Atlantic coast. Noticeably cooler temperatures are expected in the wake of the front. Highs will be in the low 80s with northwest winds around 10 mph. A few showers and possibly a thunderstorm will still be possible through the afternoon hours, with the best chance closer to the beaches.

SUNDAY: Partly to mostly sunny skies are expected with highs in the mid 80s. Humidity levels will be comfortable.
If you are in the general area and have some extra time today, why not head out to Summerfest in Denton. A wide range of activities include a climbing wall, bouncy houses, many engaging vendors and activities for all ages, a stage for emerging young performers, fireworks at 9, and "weather magic" at our booth next to Caroline County Emergency Services. See you down the yellow brick road.
