"The Red Badge of.....Weather"
Tuesday, 3/22/2011, 9:00 PM EDT
A Major Winter Storm stretches across the North from Idaho through The Great Lakes. Bright red (Blizzard Warnings) can be found in North Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Areas in the Northern Plains can expect over a foot of snow before it ends. Winter Storm Warnings are also posted in Utah and California.
Red Flag Warnings cover thousands of square miles in the West over a six-state area. Eight, when you add Florida, and Georgia.
South of the Winter weather, the danger color will be green, for Flood Statements as possible severe rain storms for parts of Iowa, Missouri, and Illinois will overwhelm already swollen streams with additional run-off from still-frozen ground.
This massive system is expected to move eastward into the Northern Mid-Atlantic and The Northeast, where icing could be a problem. (Advisor Lear)
Red is the color today across the National Hazards Map.

did someone mention SNOW??? :-D
There are several chances for accumulating snow and mix precip during the next week. This time of year in this area they will be marginal, but if a system gets just strong enough and precip falls at night, we could be in business. This weekend and early next week we really have a solid shot a slushy snow. Everything has to go correct to get a plowable type snow, but it is possible in this upcoming set-up.
Wouldn't mind one last bite at the raw deer leg. =-O =-O
:::muttering to self:::: spring sports...SPRING sports....
Heading to OC for the weekend...would be fun to see snow on the beach! But I am SO in the spring mode! I'm all for WARM and WONDERFUL now!
So...I guess we will just wait and see what Mother Nature throws at us! :)
...smh...
the snowblower will think I hate it. Fill me up, run me dry, fill me up, run me dry...
I will go there next weekend. They won't get snow but it will be cold and nasty this weekend.
