No Foolin' around again today...

Saturday, 4/2/2011, 4PM EDT

As one batch of moisture departs the Pacific Northwest, another wave will come ashore by the end of the weekend bringing more rain to the lowlands, and more snow to the mountains. By tonight, the first system will be dumping snow across the Northern Border States. Sunday will see snow into Rockies and stretch as far as the Great Lakes. Severe storms could break out in the Heartlands.

Monday will see rain from the Southlands, up the Mississippi and Ohio River Valleys. The moisture will bring snow to New England. The Deep South may have some Severe Weather Events on Monday.

The Northeast currently shows no Watches or Warnings, save Coastal Small Craft and Gale Postings, while the Mid-Atlantic and the Southeast have High Wind/Elevated Fire Advisories.

Vast expanses of the West are under either Red Flag Warnings or Extreme Fire Danger Statements.
