Partnering for a brighter future

In the past year, you have read on our main site and in facebook about activities and programs in which members of the Foot's Forecast team participated in with different organizations.

This "Partnerships" center provides an inside look at the agencies and organizations which support the work of our team. It is our way of extending a public "thank you" to  those for believing that students are capable of contributing much more to our society than most people expect. Photo: Forecast Team members Greg J. and Emily R. This showcase is also designed to explore new opportunities for prospective partners to consider, Among the possibilities are internships for our team members and support in areas of finance, logistics, legal or infrastructure in order to help us continue strengthening our national network of local teams. (Photo: Mr. Foot and Mr. Miller, Assistant Chief- Howard County, MD Office of Emergency Management)

We place strong emphasis on professional skill development for our student members, as well as "giving back" to organizations via guest speakerships, presentations and forecast products like the "Storm Technical Analyses" featured prior to the Christmas 2010 Blizzard.

(The Maryland Science Center in the Baltimore harbor is an example of one organization with which we are developing a partnership for 2011 and beyond.)

Additional details and a look back at 2009-2010 partnerships will be featured here in the near term, as well as contact information on how you or your organization can partner with us in building a bright future together.
