NWS STATE COLLEGE:

Following a brief period of fair and dry weather to start off next
week (mon-Monday ngt) the threat of light precipitation will return to the
forecast early Tuesday into Wednesday...with perhaps a more significant
storm system affecting the region sometime late next week. Similar
to yesterday...operational model and ensemble guidance still show
uncertainty with shortwave timing and potential phasing of
streams. After a taste of winter this weekend...expect
temperatures to slowly moderate in time eventually climbing back
near to slightly above normal by the end of the medium range period.

The first LEGIT MAJOR STORM THREAT is on the table of the entire winter. Right now it is just a threat, but very worth following as the set-up is conducive for heavy snow. It is also coming near President's Day, and we all know it NEVER snows on PRESIDENT'S DAY WEEKEND around here (hint climatology, actually favors snow) :-D
This Storm will be coined the BUG KAHUNA, as NEEDY was kind enough to emphasized my typo. :-P
Just as long as I can get the field trip back to enjoy it!
