Again, heat today across much of the Country. Excessive Heat Statements have been posted in 24 States. A stalled front across the Mason-Dixon Line and Westward will contribute to showers and storms, perhaps severe (see map) in The Upper Plains, through the Ohio Valley, into the Mid-Atlantic and parts of the SE. Other regions that could see rain and storms include the PNW, the Desert SW, and SE Texas.
