Yes, I've been watching the pesky little system off the Southeast coast. Do I think it is going to swing west and smack the Carolinas as a Category 1 Hurricane (as Accuweather is implying for the weekend)? Ah, no. There is potential for this to turn into a nasty nor'easter/tropical "rainstorm" as Elliot Abrams would call it, but I'm not going to start hoisting the red and black checker flags on as-yet-to-be-named Gabrielle. A lot could change in a day, so I will watch carefully, but I'm not going to hype-monger this one like other news outlets are doing.
